Well, the Ramones started as a very small unknown band that was formed in 1974. It was initally Dee Dee singing and playing
bass with Joey playing drums and Johnny on the guitar. They later added a long time aquaintance who became Tommy Ramone
then Joey took up vocals Dee Dee still on bass Johnny on his guitar and Tommy on drums. Later, the quartet
started to play shows at the CBGB music club in New York where they were discovered by Seymour Stein of sire records. Then
in 1975 they released their debut album THE RAMONES which cost them a little less than $6,000. Then in 1976 they traveled
and toured in the UK where they helped form bands such as the sex pistols and the clash through their music. Then, many years
and many records releases later the Ramones went on their last tour as a band in 1996 and ended their career after the lollapalloza
that year.
